Dental Assistant Cover Letter Example
Office managers screening dental assistant applications check three things before anything else: your certification status, your radiology permit, and whether you can keep a full column of patients moving. A letter that answers all three in the first paragraph gets read to the end; one that opens with how much you enjoy dentistry usually does not.

Your posting asks for someone who can assist across restorative, endo, and same-day crown cases. I currently support two doctors through four-handed dentistry, take FMX and bitewing series with a retake rate under 3%, and mill and stain CEREC crowns while the doctor moves to the next column. I also run our sterilization area to CDC and OSHA spore-testing schedules and chart in Dentrix.
Lakeview's move to expanded-function assisting is what caught my attention. I completed my coronal polishing and sealant certification last year and placed over 200 sealants in our school-outreach program, so I can take those procedures off the hygiene schedule immediately.

- Offer a working interview. It's standard in dental hiring, and volunteering for one signals confidence in your clinical skills better than any adjective.
