An executive assistant's cover letter is judged the way the job is judged: on polish, brevity, and anticipation. The reader (often the executive's current EA or a chief of staff) is checking what level you've supported, what you owned outright, and whether your writing could go out under an executive's name.

Your posting emphasizes judgment and independent ownership, which is how my current role runs: I draft the COO's routine correspondence for her signature, manage a $150K annual travel and events budget, and screen the incoming requests that would otherwise consume her calendar, declining most of them without escalation. In five years supporting executives through two acquisitions, I've handled material nonpublic information without a single lapse.
I'm particularly interested in this role because it's a first-EA position for a founder-CEO. Building the support structure (the calendar rules, the travel profiles, the meeting rhythms) is the part of the job I do best, and I'd rather build it right than inherit someone else's.
