Finance managers hire analysts to make their numbers more reliable, so a financial analyst cover letter should read like an analyst wrote it: specific scope, specific tools, and at least one forecast or model whose accuracy you can state. Vague claims about analytical skills are exactly what the letter exists to disprove.
