Bar managers rarely require cover letters, which is exactly why a good one works: it proves you researched the room before walking in. The letters that get shifts name the bar's actual program, state volume numbers from your current gig, and clear the certification question up front.

- Offer a stage explicitly. Bartending is hired on demonstrated skill, and volunteering for a trial shift removes the manager's biggest scheduling hesitation.
