Electrician Cover Letter Example
Electrical contractors hire on license, work type, and safety record, in that order, and most read a cover letter only to answer those three questions faster than the resume does. Short and factual wins: license class in sentence one, the kind of work you've actually run, and the numbers that prove you're safe and productive.

- State your safety and inspection record in numbers: years without a recordable, inspection pass rate, OSHA certifications. Contractors carry the insurance costs of your record.
- Mention crew leadership and print-reading if you have them; the journeyman-who-can-run-work is the hire every shop actually wants.
- Keep it under a page by a wide margin and include your availability; trades hiring moves fast, and 'can start in two weeks' is real information.
