3 stepsfrom your profile to the editor

From LinkedIn to a finished resume in 3 steps

  1. 1Open your LinkedIn profile

On linkedin.com, go to your own profile page. Any visibility setting works, private included.

  2. 2Save it as a PDF

Under your name, open the Resources menu (on some accounts it appears as More) and choose Save to PDF. LinkedIn downloads an official PDF of your profile.

  3. 3Drop the PDF here

Upload that file and we rebuild it as a resume: your wording is kept word for word, you only polish it in the editor.

On a phone? If you do not see the option in the LinkedIn app, open linkedin.com in a browser: the export is always available there. The upload to Wynhire works from any device.

// Why the official PDF

No scraping. Nothing has to be public.

Some builders ask you to paste your profile URL, then read your public page from their servers. That route breaks the moment a profile is private, incomplete or behind LinkedIn's automated-access blocks. The official PDF export never has that problem: it comes from your own account and always contains your full profile.

  • Works even if your profile is set to private
  • You stay in control: you choose the file, nothing is fetched behind your back
  • Your wording is kept word for word, then checked against a real ATS parser

Frequently asked questions

Does the import work if my LinkedIn profile is private?
Yes. The PDF export is made from inside your own LinkedIn account, so your visibility settings do not matter. Tools that scrape a profile URL need your page to be public; the official PDF route does not.
Where is the Save to PDF option on LinkedIn?
On your own profile page, under your name, open the Resources menu (on some accounts it appears as More) and choose Save to PDF. LinkedIn generates the file and downloads it right away.
What happens to the PDF after I upload it?
The import rebuilds your profile as an editable resume: experience, education, skills and contact details land in the builder, kept word for word. You review and edit everything before you download anything.
Can I import from my phone?
If you do not see the Save to PDF option in the LinkedIn app, open linkedin.com in a browser: the export is always available there. The upload to Wynhire works from any device, phone included.
