Nurse recruiters screen for three things in order: an active license, the care setting you worked in, and patient load. If those aren't visible in the top third of your resume, the rest rarely gets read. This example puts licensure and unit type right where screeners look.

ATS tips for Registered Nurse resumes

Spell out and abbreviate your license: write "Registered Nurse (RN)" at least once. Recruiters search both forms, and some ATS keyword filters only match one.
Put your license state and number status (active, compact) in a dedicated Licenses & Certifications section — parsers map that section type directly, while licenses buried in a summary often drop out.
Name the EHR systems you charted in (Epic, Cerner, Meditech). "EHR experience" alone won't match a filter set to a specific system.
Include unit type and bed count ("32-bed telemetry unit") — staffing recruiters filter for care setting more than for years of experience.
Keep BLS/ACLS current-dated. An expired certification date can get an otherwise strong application auto-deprioritized.
